Esta señal pertenece a la categoría preventivas.
Esta señal se empleará para advertir al conductor la proximidad a una bifurcación de vías en forma de “Y” no canalizada, en la cual hay giro a uno y otro lado.
Esta señal deberá complementarse con las señales Pare o Ceda el paso y Velocidad máxima. En carreteras y vías urbanas de alta velocidad, también deberá complementarse con la señal Prevención de pare o Prevención de ceda el paso.
