Se coloca para indicar la presencia de dos curvas consecutivas de dirección contraria, separadas por una tangente y cuando el producto del grado de curvatura por la deflexión sea en cualquiera de las curvas igual o superior a 900.
El pictograma debe indicar si la curva inversa cerrada es derecha-izquierda o izquierda-derecha.
