Esta señal pertenece a la categoría reglamentarias.
Esta señal se emplea para indicar al conductor que no puede virar a la izquierda en el sitio donde ella se encuentra. No debe emplearse sin antes tomar las medidas del caso para permitir a los conductores realizar el giro a través de otro recorrido, el que puede indicarse utilizando la señal informativa de RUTA ALTERNATIVA.
