Estas señales se usan para indicar la existencia de una pista o vía exclusiva para buses.
Se instalan al lado derecho de ellas y al inicio de cada cuadra, resultando ventajoso, a veces, colocarlas en una estructura sobre la pista o vía
Se instalan también cuando, en caso justificado el Secretario Regional Ministerial de Transportes y Telecomunicaciones autorice por resolución que la Pista Solo Buses pueda ser utilizada también por taxis colectivos.
