Se emplea para indicar que la altura libre de un paso inferior u otra estructura es menor de 5.00 m y se coloca en dicha estructura. La dimensión se indica en metros con aproximación al decímetro inferior.
Ésta señal se complementa con la señal preventiva ALTURA LIBRE.
