Esta señal pertenece a la categoría preventivas.
Se usa para indicar la presencia de un tramo de la vialidad con una pendiente descendente continua en un tramo considerable, en la cual se recomienda reducir la velocidad, de preferencia con motor.
Se colocará un tablero adicional que indique la longitud del tramo de la pendiente en kilómetros, por ejemplo PRÓXIMOS 10 km o PRÓXIMOS 25 km.
