Esta señal se complementa con la marca RAYA SEPARADORA DE SENTIDOS DE CIRCULACIÓN que corresponda y se usa en los tramos de carretera de dos carriles, donde la distancia de visibilidad de rebase esté restringida, donde existan puentes angostos y en la cercanía de los entronques a nivel.
