Se usa para indicar que está prohibido el tránsito de bicicletas, vehículos de carga y motocicletas en determinado tramo de la carretera o vialidad urbana.
Se coloca al inicio del tramo de la prohibición. Además, se usará una señal igual anticipada, indicando en un tablero adicional la distancia a la que se encuentra la restricción.
