Esta señal pertenece a la categoría restrictivas.
Se emplea para indicar que en determinados tramos de carretera o vialidad urbana, está prohibido el tránsito de vehículos de carga.
Se coloca al inicio del tramo de la prohibición. Además, se usará una señal igual anticipada, indicando en un tablero adicional la distancia a la que se encuentra la restricción.
