Se coloca en aquellas vías de un solo sentido, cuando cambien a un tramo de dos carriles en el que se permita la doble circulación. Se ubica al inicio del tramo aludido.
Debe usarse esta señal precedida de la señal preventiva DOBLE CIRCULACIÓN.
