Se utiliza en aquellos sitios donde se prohíba la vuelta a la derecha, por tratarse de una circulación de sentido contrario o, en casos específicos, para no interferir con otros movimientos importantes, inclusive el de peatones.
Puede llevar un tablero adicional en donde se indique para que tipo de vehículo aplica la restricción.
