Esta señal se usa para indicar la existencia de un vértice de separación de flujos que circulan en un mismo sentido, debiendo los vehículos que circulan por la izquierda continuar por la izquierda y los que circulan por la derecha, por la derecha.
Se instala en islas de canalización, a una altura no superior a 1 m sobre la vía, frente al flujo que se quiere separar.
